Five Questions for the Florida Prosecutors Who Tried George Zimmerman

1. Was it your decision to fail to highlight the botched investigation by the Sanford Police Department? You had Chris Serino on the stand and failed to remind him that he suggested that Zimmerman be arrested for Manslaughter. Subsequently, O’Mara was allowed to lead the jury to believe Zimmerman was trustworthy in the eyes of Serino. You also failed to call witnesses that were told by Serino that he was skeptical about Zimmerman’s story. Who made this decision and why?

2. Why did you push the meme that Martin was fighting Zimmerman? Not a single witness recalled seeing a fight but rather, a struggle, yet time and again you used the word “fight” to describe what happened that night. You even put on the Pathologist, Dr. Rao, who balled up her fist and mimicked punching herself in the face to explain how Martin could have hit Zimmerman and caused his injuries. In light of your own DNA evidence, there was no fight. Why did you lie on your dead client?

3. Why did you fail to see the importance of the testimony from your own witnesses? Jayne Surdyka and Jeanee Manalo testified that they were immediately drawn to their window when they heard a distinct howl or yelp. Both of those witnesses live at the T, where Zimmerman claims the altercation started. Neither of them saw Zimmerman or Martin fighting at the T although they were drawn to their window because of distinctive distress cries. Later they were drawn to their window a second and even third time when they heard distinctive cries for help and at that time they looked outside again and they saw the two individuals on the ground and they still were not directly at the T. Their testimony is important because it proves that Zimmerman lied about not following Martin down that pathway and he lied about Martin hitting him at the T and then stumbling forward to where the body was eventually found. In your opening argument you said that Zimmerman had followed and confronted Martin. Why did you fail to tell the jury that at least two witnesses, in addition to Rachel Jeantel, prove that Zimmerman fabricated the story of the encounter at the T to mask the fact that he was much further down that sidewalk than he should have been if he parked his car where he said he parked it?

4. Why did you mention time and again that Zimmerman had lied about extending Martin’s hands after he shot the teen without telling the jury why that lie was significant? Why did you fail to mention that Zimmerman had also lied about asking for help to restrain the dead teen? Zimmerman stated one reason and one alone for being caught on top of the teen’s dead body immediately after the shot was fired. His excuse was that he did not think he had shot the teen and because he was still moving he felt the teen needed to be restrained so he spread his arms apart to make sure Martin was not armed. Martin’s arms were found underneath his body. After he was seen on top of the teen, Zimmerman got up and walked away and left the dead teen face down in the grass. He walked back towards the T where he encountered John Manalo. He never asked Manalo to help him restrain Martin, which would have been useless at that point considering Martin had not moved. Zimmerman never told police he had walked away and left the teen lying there but he told them he was near the teens’ body the entire time. He wanted to give the police the impression that he was concerned about Martin being alive and or fleeing when the truth is he never sought to restrain Martin, he knew he was dead. The only reason Zimmerman would lie about why he was on the dead teen is because he was on the dead teen BEFORE the shot was fired. I have written a blog about Jane/Jayne Surdyka who placed Zimmerman on top of Martin BEFORE the shot was fired. He knew Selma Mora saw him on Martin. What he didn’t know is that Jeanee Manalo and Jayne Surdyka had also seen him on Martin. The evidence shows there was NO REASON for Zimmerman to be on the teen to “restrain” him after the shot was fired because he clearly knew he was dead, that’s why he walked away and left him lying there. Later at the police station he pretended he didn’t know Martin had died. This means he was conscious of the fact that he needed an excuse for being on the teen when the shot was fired. Why did the Prosecutor ask questions but then fail to give answers? It seems they wanted to put the pieces together but were afraid to do so. Meanwhile, the Defense painted their version of what really happened and even brought a block of concrete into the courtroom to drive their point home. I have never seen a case where the Prosecution fails to put together a coherent picture of what really happened while allowing the Defense to do just that. The Prosecution did not want to win this case.

5. Why did John Guy place Martin on top of Zimmerman up until the time the shot went off and why did he insist Martin never saw the gun? Wouldn’t that mean that Martin was the aggressor until the very end and would not have been screaming? So when the State finally did put together a theory, it was one that was NOT FAVORABLE to Trayvon Martin. When BDLR and Angela Corey were interviewed after the trial, BDLR says he believed Zimmerman had his gun out because he was intent on preventing Martin from “escaping thru the back gate.” Isn’t that interesting? The State DID have a theory of what happened. So if BDLR believes Zimmerman had his gun out early then wouldn’t Martin have seen it before Zimmerman pulled the trigger? If that’s the case, why did John Guy present a theory that was opposite of what BDLR believed?

In light of this information do you believe the State did all they could to convict George Zimmerman? I wonder if the Martin family secretly feels betrayed by the State Prosecutors. I feel betrayed and Martin was not my son.

  1. Most of these points were touched down on. Sometimes the judge doesn’t allow a certain topic to progress ultimately zimmerman is innocent and we need to move on. It wa proven trayvon Martin attacked him. It isn’t about race, it’s about facts

    • If these issues were touched on this blog wouldn’t exist. ZImmerman is not innocent, he did kill an unarmed teen. THe jury found him not guilty, the same as OJ and Casey Anthony. One juror confirmed that several jurors wanted to find him guilty and believe he got away with murder because of the law. I didn’t mention race btw, it’s a shame this case is all about race to you since you are the only one that brought it up. Get over your bigotry. This is 2013.

      • I think anyone who takes the time out of their day to read and comment on this blog has not moved on from this case. The “move on” theme is pretty moot at this point. You’re here.

      • We’re here because there’s a dead teen, murdered, and tons of unresolved feelings and unanswered questions. YOU need to move on…to a page that agrees w/ u.

    • It was not proven martin attacked him. did you not pay attention becuase no one saw the start of the confrontation. Martin’s friend heard the start of the confrontation and you don’t chase people unless you are planning on starting something. It’s ridiculous that people are dumb enough to believe obvious lies from a murderer a man with a known history of violence against other people and even if martin had attacke3d he should have been more than able to handle him without a gun. he was a bouncer he know how to fight. the L shaped tears in trayvon’s shirt show he was holding on to Trayvon’s shirts preventing his escape when he shot him. may you ought to read some facts before commenting. trayvon was literally crying when he was killed. it’s obvious he already had his gun out because it is impossible to grab you gun in the way he described while on your back supposedly getting beaten up. the wound track through trayvon’s body show they were face to face when they gun was fired. the fact he had no defensive wounds show there was little or no fighting going on. Or are you stupid enough to believe he just laid there before some how getting his gun from his right rear hip while laying on his back.supposedly getting beaten up. He had no injuries consistent with his claims including no defensive wounds. NO WOUNDS FROM TRYING TO PROTECT HIS HEAD NO SWELLING OR BRUISING FROM PUNCHING BACK. And trayvon had none of his blood or DNA on his hands or under his finger nails and there was no bruising or swelling to his knuckles. the blood from those wounds on the back of his head flow toward his face he was looking down at something while they were bleeding he did not get those wounds from trayvon or a sidewalk. he had no bruising to his face no busted lips no black eyes and it is obvious his nose was never broken. and the fact he had glasses on just days after killing trayvon shows his nose was never broken. Trayvon ran he ran after him and when he lost sight of trayvon he began looking for him when he found him he began stalking him as he tried to avoid him. he did not have to use deadly force trayvon barely used any force at all he just tried to escape after Zimmerman tried to illegally detain him which was a crime. He then held him at gun point and interrogated him which was also a crime. he was not a police officer nor a licensed security guard. he had no right to even go near trayvon. He killed trayvon after losing his temper because trayvon would not cooperate with him and resisted which he had every right to do. hewhen he realized what he had done he decided to to tell a bunch of fairy tale which which apparently you and a lot of others are dumb enough to believe. The only one defending himself that night was trayvon. unfortunately he had no chance against a 200lb man who worked as a bouncer. whats worse he also had a gun. HE got away with murde becasue the prosecution was more concerned about protect a corrupt police department than fighting for the victim they allowed the defense too get way with too much bull crap including verbally abusing witnesses. they and the judge allowed the defense to flash an obviously doctored photo. because Zimmerman never had any horizontal cuts on the back of his head. It is also impossibvle to repeated slam a person head onto a hard suface when they are able to fight back Zimmerman was not disabled in anyway. In fact there are no cases where a person head was slammed into ground the way he described. because 1 because they were disabled first and unable to defend themselves and 2 they were stumped kicked or beaten in the head with a blunt object. no one has ever had there head repeated slammed into a hrad suface while lying on their back because it is impossible because tyou woild not have enough leverage and the weight of the human and the way the neck moves would preclude that. Zimmerman and his family are a bunch of liars they know trayvon was never a threat to Zimmerman. they also know of his violent past. they have always lied to get him out of trouble. and this time they did it again. Zimmerman killed a terrified screaming 17 year old kid while he begged for his life. then he had the nerve the audacity the unmitigated gall to claim self defense. Trayvon was innocent and did nothing to deserve death he was just on his way home from the store.Zimmerman was the only one acting suspicious that night. unless you think watching and following a kid as he walks down a public street toward home is normal behavior.

    • Trayvon did NOT attack him. He whooped his ass. It WAS about race. That lying pos only had 2 scratches and 2 Band-Aids. You go out and try “slamming” your head on concrete and see if you get the same “injuries” he did. Um…….you’d be DEAD or in a COMA. Idiot!!

      • Most people that are attacked have some type proof that they were attacked…If Trayvon hit George Zim’s nose 25-30 times there would be some evidence to corroborate his story. Why would George Zim need to scream for help…he had his help concealed. If Trayvon grabbed his gun and holster, why was there no DNA on the gun? Why was there no DNA on Trayvon’s body from George Zim since he was bleeding so badly, about to black out. Why was there no cuts on his head when he walked into the police station? Why were there no grass stains or wet spots on George Zim’s clothes if he and Trayvon were tussling in the grass? Why are there so many conflicting versions of what happened as George Zim changed his story several times. Why would George Zim need to defend himself from can of Ice tea and a bag of skittles. How can George Zim live in the subdivion for 3 years, be head of the neighborhood watch program, make over 40 calls to the non-emergency operator (all were Black people he called in on), not know the names of the only 3 streets in the entire subdivision? Who are the “Theys” that always get away? Why did he George Zim lie about not knowing the Stand Your Ground Law, when he took coursed on the subject at college he is attending? Why did George Zim and his wife Shelly, lie about how much money they had which resulted in her arrest? Again, why are there so many unanswered questions and since Trayvon is dead not able to give his side of the story, why should George Zim’s version be taken as the gospel of “Saint White Is Always Right!”

  3. The bottom line here is simple. It does not make a difference what you say or do.Zimmerman is GUILTY as hell and got away with it. The group that reprented the jury should have told you something. The Justice system works only for certain people Not all people. I am white and i see no color so i am certainly not taking sides. This world is not made up of black AND white, but black OR white!!! Sad!!

    • I agree Allie. This case has set race relations back for several decades not because we are rightly disgusted with the way Martin died because it proved many were right when they said their was inequality in the justice system. Those who do not want to believe it continue to fight us on this issue. The handling of this case from police involvement to the prosecutors to the judge shows that there is something afoot in the American justice system. It took the screaming murder of Trayvon Martin as caught on tape to bring this issue to the forefront. Some of us are not content to just sit by and “let it be.” As a nation, we are better than that.

  4. Repost to correct typos….DAVE…It was not proven martin attacked him. Did you not pay attention? Because no one saw the start of the confrontation. Martin’s friend heard the start of the confrontation and you don’t chase people unless you are planning on starting something. It’s ridiculous that people are dumb enough to believe obvious lies from a murderer a man with a known history of violence against other people and even if Martin had attacked him,(which never happened)he should have been more than able to handle him without a gun. he was a bouncer he knows how to fight. The L shaped tears in trayvon’s shirt show he was holding on to Trayvon’s shirts preventing his escape when he shot him.The fact that the hole in trayvon’s shirts are 4 inches higher than the hole in his chest and the shirt have contact holes and the hole in his chest is an intermediate range hole shows the shirts werre pulled down and away when the gun was fired. you cant explain that away by gravity. Maybe you ought to read some facts before commenting. Trayvon was literally crying when he was killed. it’s obvious he already had his gun out because it is impossible to grab your gun in the way he described while on your back supposedly getting beaten up. the wound track through trayvon’s body show they were face to face when they gun was fired. the fact he had no defensive wounds shows there was little or no fighting going on. He would never have been in any condition to fire a gun and trayvon would not have ended up dead. Zimmerman and his family are a bunch of liars they know trayvon was never a threat to Zimmerman. They also know of his violent past. they have always lied to get him out of trouble. and this time they did it again. Unless you think watching and following a kid as he walks down a public street toward home is normal behavior. BTW a family who posts on racist websites is racist. A man who goes an a racist rant on twitter gives interviews to white supremists is racist. One of these days Zimmerman is gonna mess with the wrong family and he will either get arrested again or get what he deserves dead.Because not every family is as level headed or kind hearted ans the martins. They who ever they maybe may decide to take the law into their own hands. I wonder how long he will scream for help and beg for his life before he gets shot.Trayvon screamed for nearly a minute.

  5. The provable facts of this case did NOT fit your nor the prosecution’s theory of what occurred that night. Trying to prove that an elephant is a monkey is impossible.

The law clearly states that if a victim, while being ground and pounded MMA style as Mr. John Good testified Trayvon Martin was doing to Mr. George Zimmerman, is put in danger and reasonable fear of great bodily harm or death by the commission of a felony against him, use of force up to and including lethal force is justifiable.

Because the prosecution was NOT able to prove 2nd degree murder beyond and to the exclusion of every reasonable doubt, nor that Zimmerman did NOT act in self-defense to the exclusion of reasonable doubt, the sworn jury had to follow the law to the letter and acquit.

No prosecution, as inept and over-reaching as they were, could have convicted George Zimmerman given the evidence, eye-witness testimony, ear-witness testimony, forensics and photos. They all either proved Self-Defense or created reasonable doubt that George Zimmerman did NOT act in self-defense, which is all the law requires for acquittal.

    • He was never ground and pounded apparently you don’t know lies when you hear it Have you ever seen an MMA fight ? apparently not and if he was being ground and pounded he would hsve had more than a few scratches and he wouldn’t have been even had a chance to pull his gun you are an idiot Jon had changed his story numerous times which indicates lying. And zimmerman’s lack of injuries prove it. Trayvon didn’t know martial arts mixed or other wise if he did he wouldn’t have ended up dead. And zimmerman would have ended up in the hospital.

    • You are yet another victim of a failed prosecution strategy and a failed investigation. If the detectives had done their job and if the State had done their job the name John Good would be as meaningless to you as it is to me. Why is the name John Good useless ACCORDING TO THE FACTS? First, John Good changed his testimony to say he never saw a “ground and pound” and actually that termed was used by Serino and not Good. Good agreed with a term Serino never should have used. He never saw one person hitting another, he just saw arms going downward which is what you would expect when one person is on top of another but there is no punching but more like holding someone. When Good changed his testimony it then lined up with what all of the other witnesses said and that there was no fight. Now that we know there was no fight, why would Martin be holding Zimmerman down? Why would Martin stick around to “struggle” or “wrestle” with Zimmerman? Secondly, Good admittedly saw maybe 10 seconds of what happened and he saw neither the beginning nor the end. Two witnesses confirmed that he stepped out briefly, yelled that he was calling police, went back inside and closed the door. It is not possible that he saw as much as he said he did within a few seconds. At least one of the people who saw Good continued to watch longer than Good and she saw Zimmerman (the larger man) on top but she said it was too dark to make out clothing and skin color. Jayne Surdyka was also watching from her window and she saw Zimmerman get up off Martin after the shot was fired without them ever changing positions. Further, no one saw a struggle on the sidewalk as Good described, therefore what he thought he saw within 10 seconds, he did not see. Finally, if the police had done their job they would have asked Good how Martin and Zimmerman moved from the grass to the sidewalk as he described without ever changing positions. He had them on the grass facing one way and suddenly they were on the concrete facing a different direction but somehow Martin was still on Zimmerman. HOW IS THAT HUMANALY POSSIBLE? The way Good described it makes it appear that both of them where lying on a skateboard and their bodies moved in unison. That is not consistent with one person screaming and being an unwilling participate. The final reason why Good’s testimony is useless is because Martin’s body was found 100% fully in the grass. Good claims he last saw them on the sidewalk. How they came to be wholly in grass would be a very important piece of the puzzle that Good cannot fill in so his testimony is useless. Personally, I believe John Good decided he would say Martin was on top when he looked out of his window and saw Manalo flashing a light on Martin and it was obvious he was black at that point. Before then, no one could tell the race of either individual because it was simply too dark. It is a shame that police put any weight on the testimony of someone who got a clear picture of what clothes they were wearing after the area was already lit up. On the 911 call Good at first assumed the guy that was screaming was the one that was dead. It is clear that is his belief in real time. It is funny that after the race of the two individuals was revealed to him, with the benefit of light, he then came to believe the person that did not die is the one that was screaming. He is the only person that made that erroneous assumption

NOw that the issue of John Good is out of the way, everything I typed in this blog proves Zimmerman did not act in self-defense. The next time you stop by I hope you take the time to read the blog.

  6. You hit the points my sister. The prosecutors really have questions to answer. And justice is a must for Trayvon. Or else America has no bases for parading it self as a model of justice before other countries. However some people like these guys blogging over here should begin to reset their minds, we are now in 21st century .

  7. One inconsistency I thought was very revealing is Zimmerman’s stated reason for getting out of his vehicle. It is clear on his call to dispatch that he exited the vehicle within one second of exclaiming “Shit! He’s running!” and then a few seconds later he is out of breath when he says “He ran.” This means he got out of his car to chase Martin. However in his written statement, he writes, not once, but twice, that he got out of his car “to look for a street sign”. Its very revealing that he wrote it twice. Why repeat it? Was he trying to convince himself? To anyone who gives a crap, this is an obvious lie. Obviously if he admitted to chasing Martin and said his reason for getting out of his vehicle was “I didn’t want him to get away”, that would have been curtains for him. But he knew what to say. He obviously lied when he said he was out looking for a street sign. No one EVER called him on that.

    • Zev, you are right. The police wanted him to get away with murder because they allowed him to distance himself from what he said on tape. They should have held him to the fire because it’s usually not possible to distance yourself from what you are saying in real time on a recorded line unless you are Zimmerman. He could have said he was going to murder Trayvon because he is black , on a recorded tape and the police still would have let him change his story later and not arrest him.
